Camp Alaska Check List

1. Socks Wool 3 to 6 pairs

2. Sock Liners 2 to 3 pairs (Polypropylene or thin dress socks)

3. Insulated Thermal Long John's Polypropylene/wool/gortex/nylons)

4. Pants wool or Ski type or Snowmobile type or army surplus winter types w/liners

5. Shirt wool or flannel or Chamois or fleece types & turtle neck

6. Wool Sweater

7. Jacket with hood is best (sky type)

8. Stocking cap wool or snow mobile mask or hunters masks
Note: Especially important to keep face, neck and ears covered in single digit or lower temperatures. (fleece neck warmer & stocking cap)
9. Gloves 2 to 3 pair (best with gortex or thinsulate and water proof or resistant)

10. Scarf

11. Glove liners (polypropylene or thin nylon)

12. Boots with removable liners

13. Extra boot liners for sleeping booties and for wearing for the next day important

14. Rain Gear

15. Mess Kit include cup and eating utensils

16. First Aid Kit (bandaids, moleskin)

17. Water Bottle (2 2-liter bottles)

18. Scout Hand Book / Scout Field Book

19. Something to sit on (Foam Pad / Boat Cushion / Campers Chair / 5 gallon Bucket)

21. Matches

22. Fire Starters (dryer lint works quite)

23. Sun Glasses

24. Toilet Paper

25. Chemical hand warmers

26. Flashlight and batteries



Sleeping Gear:
(suggest that this be packed & kept separate)
1. Sleeping bag
2. Ground cloth (2)
3. Foam pad
4. Blankets (2) wool to line summer sleeping bag and cover head & shoulders
5. Socks with liners to sleep in (extra from what is in above)
6. Sweat suit with hooded top
7. Gloves cloth type
