Summer Camp 2004

During the one-week camp at Pioneer Scout Reservation, our troop experienced fun and exciting merit badges.  Also, camp pioneer is a great place to have fun.  Some of the fun activities include: swimming at the lake, fishing, whittling, hiking, working on merit badges, and just playing cards.  To make our troop proud, our very own John O’Brien and Nick Oblizajek won the camp euchre tournament.  There were many trips made to the trading post by all the scouts.  One of the most exciting parts of the camp out was the catapult contest.  In this contest each troop built their own catapult and used it to launch water balloons at the counselors.  One of the suspenseful parts of the week was when a huge storm went through the Camp!  Most of the tents were soaked!  During our free time we even made up our own version of scout golf.  Overall our troop earned over 100 merit badges!  The Order of the Arrow ceremony is an unforgettable experience that not many people get to enjoy.  The week went by really fast, but I know that everyone had a great time.
